Slow Cooker Stews

Dog slow cooker stews are made with TONS of protein such as chicken and steak. You can choose as many starches & veggies as you would like, then top it all off with delicious extras such as blueberries, apples, or pumpkin. Your pup will go CRAZY over the stew! You can give the slow cooker stew to your dog as a mid-day treat, or you can put a spoonful on their dry food for EXTRA nutrients and flavor!

Ingredients I use in my treats & slow cooker stews are all healthy: fresh ingredients, low fat, low sodium, and tons of antioxidants and fiber! You can always spice up your meals in any way you’d like by using dog-friendly ingredients! Here are some of the healthy ingredient options you can choose from for your treats or stews:

  • Cinnamon applesauce (healthier choice for oil)
  • Peanut butter (I choose organic)
  • Old fashioned oats
  • Apples, bananas, blueberries
  • Pumpkin (helps with diarrhea and constipation)
  • Sweet potato, red potato (with skins)
  • Carrots, green beans, peas, kidney beans
  • Squash, butternut squash
  • Low-fat cheddar cheese
  • Honey (healthier choice for sugar)
  • Nonfat Greek yogurt
  • Mint and/or parsley (just a hint helps with bad breath)
  • Eggs with crushed shells (great for the dogs!)
  • Chicken, steak, pork, ground turkey, ground beef
